NB. The language in the book is oriented towards heterosexual couples. However, to make these sex positions enjoyable for all, I will be using gender-neutral language in the appropriate sections below.

Hello Lovelies and welcome to our next sex position review!

So without further ado, let’s check out the next position – Flying High

Why This Position:

Hold tight and hold on while you fly high on pleasure! This position allows for trust, sensation and depth – a potent trio for one evening of fun!

Assume The Position:

The penetrating partner sits down and the receiving partner penetrates themselves on their penis, facing away from them. The penetrating partner then holds the recieving partner’s wrists while the recieving partner wraps their legs around the receiving partner’s back. You can then rock your way to paradise, or the the recieving partner can sit up for deeper penetration.

His Perspective

Sensationally this position feels amazing, but Elena’s anxiety ruins it for us both. Elena has ataxia, which means she often feels off-balance and wants her arms free in positions like this so she can catch herself if she falls. She also doesn’t completely trust my grip on her, and fair point – I have (acidentally!) dropped her a couple of times before.

To be honest, I also don’t trust myself in this position. Have you ever tried to climax and keep a hold of your partner so they don’t fall forward and break their nose? It’s hard! And I’m not talking about my penis here…

Finally, the book says the partner can sit up, which makes the whole “holding on” thing weird.. So Elena can just ride me facing away from me while I hold her hands behind her back? Well we can work with that 😈

Her Perspective

I’m not digging this position, not one bit. Nothing about it feels particularly sexy, and though the penetration feels incredible, the feeling that Master could lose his grip and I could break my arm face kind of keeps me from enjoying it. Master can’t hold my wrists because of my RSD, so he has to hold me by my elebows. which is not comfortable. Him pulling me back puts an uncomfortable strain on my back, and locking my legs behind his back makes me feel just that much closer to headbutting the floor.

It’s hard for me to get into. Like, my legs are in front of me, now I have to get them behind me and still somehow make it sexy and elegant? This doesn’t feel like sex, it feels like a workout!

And then the book says I can just… sit up for deeper penetration? Like Master Levi said, why are we doing this whole “hold their arms, wrap them in a death grip” business, just to do reverse cowgirl on the sofa? It feels pointless and painful. Just put that and let’s be going on with our night!

Overall Verdict

Do you ever hear of a sex position and wonder what they were doing when they came up with it? This is one of those. Right now, I want the origin story more than I want the orgasm, which I seem pretty far from anyway. This position seems more for the athletic among, which, you know, is not us. 1/5.

Special Considerations

Until next time.
