How Obedient have I been lately?

As part of using the app, I thought it would be really fun to share with you some of how my dynamic with Master Levi looks. How obedient I’ve been to him. My top completed habits, my least completed habits, the rewards I’ve received, the punishments, and how I plan to improve.

There has been a slight change this month in that we’ve added the “Top Gun Training” habit: my new daily fitness programme. There are three exercise components to the programme: ten minutes of marching in place in the morning, a ten-minute resistance workout in the afternoon, and ten minutes of arm bike exercise in the evening. I get a reward point per component completed.

Alright, let’s get into it!

What Is Obedience?

The Obedience app is a habit-tracking and accountability tool designed to help kinky people who enjoy structure, discipline, and goal-focused routines within their BDSM relationships. It allows Dominants to create custom tasks, rules, and daily expectations for their submissives, then track completion over time through streaks, statistics, and progress reports. Many people use it individually for productivity, self-improvement, or personal development (yes, you can do that too!), while others incorporate it into recognised power-exchange or D/s dynamics as a way to formalise agreements and deepen their relationships.

While Obedience offers a simple, free version, the Preium version offers bonus features like unlimited (instead of five) habits, photo proof (for those subs who like to pretend they did as they were told!), discreet mode and more. Ideal for those whose privacy isn’t guaranteed!

Whether used solo or collaboratively, the goal is the same: consistent action, measurable progress, and a healthy, happy bond.

What Are Habits?

The Obedience app comes with several default habits that you can use, but you can also add and use your own. Preset habits include things like journalling, meditating or texting your partner good morning, but also includes things like sharing a fantasy with your Dominant, or sending them a photo in a pose that they have requested. I have things like housework, blog work (yes, I get rewards for working hard!) and pet care, along with a variety of self-care habits. Don’t forget, if you want more than five habits, you’ll need the Premium plan!

How Do Rewards & Punishments Work?

Rewards and punishments don’t have to be gaining or losing points, that’s a preset. A Dominant (or submissive) can add their own rewards/punishments ideas, and each habit can be custom set to earn its own reward if completed, or punishment if not. For example, a submissive could earn a small bar of chocolate (rather than points) for eating five portions of fruit or vegetables in a day, or ten strokes of a hairbrush to their bottom if they fail. You can absolutely set up the system with whatever rewards and punishments you both like. 

How Much Does Obedience Cost?

Obedience costs £6.99/$6.99 per month, but you can save more than 50% with the annual plan at £29.99/$29.99 per year. My Top 3 Completed Habits

1. Eat Breakfast by 11:30AM

By a hair, I completed this habit 50% of the time. I think part of it was not really finding a breakfast that worked for me, but now, in the final week, I feel as though I have. I used to have breakfast biscuits with a cup of tea and nothing else, then I swapped to granola and found I didn’t really fancy it. Now, with tea, breakfast biscuits, a small pot of low-fat yogurt and an easy peeler, that feels like a great start to my day — and something that can boost my consistency!

2. Pet Care

As always, I won’t let my animals suffer. I take good care of Huxley, and our aquarium has somehow become my responsibility, too. I’ve had some issues after my aquarium heater mafunctioned earlier in the month, but we replaced it before it fried everyone and the only one to get a zap was me.

3. Lunch

Wait! Before anyone insists I need a spanking for eating lunch less than half of the time, let me explain: I have been eating lunch, consistently in fact, but what I haven’t always remembered to do is mark it off on Obedience. So it’s less of a “did Elena eat today?” and more of a “did Elena check-in today?” issue. Still on me I know, but we’ll get to that later.

2. General Tidy

I have been so busy this month, and yes, the housework shows. Bringing the diary back has been great for the blog (they do get read a lot), but holy hell, I might be writing them too often. My plan is to drop them back to once a week, on a Sunday. Still The Submissive Diaries, but less often.

3. Putting Me First

This might be another one of those “not checking in often enough”, “what classes as putting me first, anyway?” situations, because most evenings, once my 9:30PM “stop & check-in” alarm goes off, I do stop and relax. What I don’t do though, is mark off that I’ve done so. D’oh!

My Most Received Rewards

1. Time In Cuffs (2 Hrs)

Sometimes I wonder if this should remain as a reward or simply be a way of life for me, but anyway. My favourite cuffs are not what most people imagine when they think of bondage cuffs: they are black velcro cuffs with velour padding and they are so comfortable! I love wearing them to sleep, under a hoodie, for just lounging around etc. They’re like loungewear for me. With attaching clips.

2. Chocolate

Daddy knows that I need chocolate like he needs beer. I don’t tend to eat a lot of chocolate in one go, but I get grumpy if there isn’t chocolate in the fridge. A nice couple of chunks of chilled chocolate after a hard day’s graft is quite the reward for me.

3. Back Rubs From Daddy

Daddy has magic hands, and I have a dicky shoulder and carry a lot of tension in them. I like being able to ask Daddy to work all of that tension out for me, but Daddy doesn’t want me to think I’m entitled to massages. Hence, it’s a reward.

2. Spanking

Just because I explained why I shouldn’t get the spanking, doesn’t mean I don’t always get the spanking. Master doesn’t spank me to punish me; he spanks me because, as a submissive, I can’t always choose the things I want. I did agree to three spanks per time for not eating lunch, which means he also believes in doling out something if I forgot to mark it off.

3. Time Out To Journal

Ugh, you know I hate this one! Nothing is worse than being made to sit at your desk and reflect, in a journal, why you haven’t been journalling. There was no excuse for it; the only “excuse” I had was that “I didn’t feel I needed to”, and that is not an excuse.

What I Plan To Improve Next Month

I’ve already implemented the change: I’ve added a check-in reminder to check-in at 5PM, before 9:30PM so that I can mark off what I’ve done for the day, and before my brain clocks off for the evening. I think I also need to clarify with Master what some of my habits are so that I better understand them, and when they do or do not apply.
