How Obedient have I been lately?

As part of using the app, I thought it would be really fun to share with you some of how my dynamic with Master Levi looks. How obedient I’ve been to him lately. My top completed habits this past month, my least completed habits, the rewards I’ve received, the punishments, and how I plan to improve.

What Is Obedience?

The Obedience app is a habit-tracking and accountability tool designed to help kinky people who enjoy structure, discipline, and goal-focused routines within their BDSM relationships. It allows Dominants to create custom tasks, rules, and daily expectations for their submissives, then track completion over time through streaks, statistics, and progress reports. Many people use it individually for productivity, self-improvement, or personal development (yes, you can do that too!), while others incorporate it into recognised power-exchange or D/s dynamics as a way to formalise agreements and deepen their relationships.

While Obedience offers a simple, free version, the Preium version offers bonus features like unlimited (instead of five) habits, photo proof (for those subs who like to pretend they did as they were told!), discreet mode and more. Ideal for those whose privacy isn’t guaranteed!

Whether used solo or collaboratively, the goal is the same: consistent action, measurable progress, and a healthy, happy bond.

What Are Habits?

The Obedience app comes with several default habits that you can use, but you can also add and use your own. Preset habits include things like journalling, meditating or texting your partner good morning, but also includes things like sharing a fantasy with your Dominant, or sending them a photo in a pose that they have requested. I have things like housework, blog work (yes, I get rewards for working hard!) and pet care, along with a variety of self-care habits. Don’t forget, if you want more than five habits, you’ll need the Premium plan!

How Do Rewards & Punishments Work?

Rewards and punishments don’t have to be gaining or losing points, that’s a preset. A Dominant (or submissive) can add their own rewards/punishments ideas, and each habit can be custom set to earn its own reward if completed, or punishment if not. For example, a submissive could earn a small bar of chocolate (rather than points) for eating five portions of fruit or vegetables in a day, or ten strokes of a hairbrush to their bottom if they fail. You can absolutely set up the system with whatever rewards and punishments you both like. 

How Much Does Obedience Cost?

Obedience costs £6.99/$6.99 per month, but you can save more than 50% with the annual plan at £29.99/$29.99 per year. My Top 3 Completed Habits

1. Eat Breakfast by 11:30AM

What’s the sercret to making sure you eat breakfast every day? Finding a breakfast you love! For me that’s a pot of low-fat Greek yogurt with honey, a satsuma, low sugar Belvita breakfast biscuits and a cup of tea. I’ve got protein, fibre, 1 of my 5 a day and fluids — and I actually enjoy it!

2. Shower

I’ll be honest, I used to be an evening shower person and quite often it would be “I’m too tired, ‘ll have it tomorrow” for two or three days in a row. Well, not anymore! Master Levi and I have morning showers now, so it’s not “I’ll have one tomorrow” anymore, it’s just… done!

3. “Top Gun” (fitness) Training

Talking about enjoying yourself, I love my “Top Gun” fitness training, named thusly as a nod to Valkyries’ “Cadet”. and the love for all things naval that the Admiral and I share! For years I hated working out and fitness — I have inner ear issues, so for me, floor exercises often left me feeling very sick, and because of my chronic pain, things like jogging or running were no good for my body. So I’d accepted myself as essentially fat and useless, but behold! With the the help of ChatGPT (and the loving support of Master Levi and Admiral Snookiebear), I was able to work out a fitness programme that does work for me, and that I do enjoy! It starts every morning with five minutes marching in place, then I have a fifteen-minute, no-weights circuit training session in the afternoon. I did add a ten-minute dancing around session in the evening as well but I realised that sometimes I’m putting too much pressure on myself. If I do three moderately active chores instead of dancing around? That still counts!

Oh, and I swim on Tuesdays instead, because it’s important for a cadet to have these life skills 😉

My Top 3 Least Completed Habits

1. “Day Is Done”

So for me, “Day Is Done” is kind of a cheeky play on the original idea: it’s my desk-tidying habit at the end of my blogging day, Lately I have been so busy, I haven’t always gotten around to tidying my desk!

2. General Tidy

I tried, really I did, but this has been another back-to-back month for me. On the plus side I have a great three-part collaboration lined up, and I’ve really enjoyed working with my Dutch reader, B, on his prototype to help people with disabilities make sex more comfortable and practical. In terms of my home though? Whew, it has suffered! The heatwave didn’t help, but I’m going to apply thermal control film to all of my windows to make my rooms as cool as possible in future!

My Most Received Rewards

  1. Orgasm

Okay, this one comes with a kind of funny story that Lovehoney Forum members will be at least partly familiar with. Last week I (who has the higher sex drive) mastubated in the morning whilst Master Levi was off work – as I’m allowed to do – only this time, Master wasn’t happy about it: he said he felt left out (he was asleep when I did it). Failure to complete some tasks does cost my points, things like not drinking enough water, not relaxing in the evening, and not taking care of myself all cost me points. It can be a bit of a gut-punch when I realised why I can’t afford the rewards I want.

What I Plan To Improve Next Month

The flat has been horrendously warm lately, and I need to find a way that my submission is not affected by the weather. The thermal control film will help, but as the world warms up, I need to make sure my submission doesn’t cool off!
