I’ve wanted to do a Lovehoney advent calendar for a while now but because of cost, it was something I often put off doing. Well, now I have the perfect excuse — my audience will enjoy a kinky countdown to Christmas, too!
From 12th-24th December, I’ll be bringing you a post and a short Youtube video every day as we open this calendar together, followed by a review of our experience (hopefully!) on the 27th!
We deliberated over all of the calendar options but ultimately settled on the 12-day “Discover Romance” one. It’s designed to help bring romance to a relationship, but will there be romance in store for us?

We Vibe Jive 2 App-controlled Vibrator
How It Looks
There were a lot of bits in this box, but that’s okay, we can deal! I liked the little included pamphlet showing you other toy options too, just in case you’re tempted!
The We Vibe Jive 2 has a curved body with a flexible “tail” for removing and charging, I read a review that says it lightly tickles your clit when it’s powered on so I’m really interested to see how that feels! The inside is slightly more bulbous too, so it presses against your g-spot more.
How It Handles
Smothered in a little bit of a good lube, this vibrating love egg slides in and nestles into place just fine. t’s responsive to the power button too, though I didn’t find the “tail” part nestled against my clit so much as sat on top of my labia, even with a bit of adjusting. Fits fine, but not as “fine” as I’d hoped. There are 10 different patterns for you to cyle through at the touch of a button (not that button!) as well.
What about the app control? I’m pleased to say that the app, too, is very responsive, with fun additional settlings like “multi-vibe” (toggle between four different patterns, or blend them, “single vibe” (increase/decrease speed on a normal vibrate) or “touch” and “beat” (yes, to music). There’s plenty to choose from.
Plus, you can share control of your Jive 2 with a partner, either via bluetooth or long distance. What doesn’t this thing do?!
Noise? Completely silent, which makes it great fun for wherever you want to take it to.
How It Feels
Sadly, the We Vibe Jive 2 promises a lot, but delivers very little.
The vibrations are there, but they weren’t “there” enough for me; perhaps some ridges on something on the bulbed part would have turned my “hmm” into an oh “ooh”. There’s a mid-speed that definitely did do some very wicked things, but the vibrations needed to be stronger even if they weren’t faster, and they just… weren’t. If a remote vibrator is going to make me come in the middle of a restaaurant, then I need something that confidently hammers my g-spot under the dinner table.
The “string” part, too, did nothing for my clit, and I felt like companies are missing a trick here. If it hat a wearable-g-spot and clitoral stimukalator combined? I might have been in a whole heap of trouble!
The Verdict
As a vibrator, the We Vibe Jive 2 easily gets three stars — strong vibrations, plenty of patterns, good responsitivity. Factor in the app, though, and the number of added options via the app, and it easily deserves 4 stars. Sure it didn’t make me orgasm, but it’s still a bloody good toy! 4.5,
