I’m back today with another wonderful product review! How many of you have tried wand vibrators before? How many of you know that wands truly are magical? I do! That’s why, when the Lovehoney Power Play Rechargeable Wand Vibrator caught my eye, I knew that I just had to give it a try! I love a powerful vibrator, but the question was, was it powerful enough to make me pop?

How It Looks
The Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator comes in Lovehoney’s standard pink-and-white (I like to call them “marshmallow boxes”) box with a USB charging cable and leaflet. The wand itself also comes in a little plastic bag, for hygiene purposes.
One of the first things I loved about the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable wand mini vibrator – and it is a silly thing – is the silver end cap on this toy. The pop of chrome offsets the matte black silicone, making it look quite sleek and stylish. There is also a Lovehoney logo below the power button on the wand, to be expected of course, which is also silver. Nonetheless, this toy wouldn’t look at all out of place if accidentally left on the bedstand. It looks more like a massage wand than a sex toy – perfect for relieving tension, wherever and whenever that may be! 😉
The two buttons are marked with a power symbol and a zigzag, suggesting the pattern of the vibrations. There are also three blue LEDs which light up and flash to show the intensity or vibration rhythm.
How It Handles
I should say here that when I turned the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator on, I was shocked at quite how powerful this toy sounded. “Like a motorbike” was my oft-repeated mantra – it was the first time that a sex toy had actually intimidated me!
Measuring 6.5 inches in length and 4.75 inches in circumference, the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator is surprisingly ergonomic. It’s not too heavy or wide, and the silicone offers grip, making it great for those of us with dexterity issues. The vibrations are quite powerful, but once you’re accustomed to that and you’ve got a good grip on your new friend, it’s quite easy to control. Where sex toys go, I think it’s one of the easiest ones to hold. I give it a solid 5/5 for this.
How It Feels
I should be clear here and say that I… erm… I like something with a little bit of power. Some women have sensitive clits that melt at the slightest touch, and others of us need a little more power and pressure to keep us in the moment and make us lose control. The question is, can the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator pull it off?
Before we begin, I feel like it’s important to loop back here and say that unisex vibrators like the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator are absolutely not just for women. Just because I am a woman, does not mean these toys are only for women. Anyone can use any sex toy they own really, and if it works for you? That’s what we want!
Alright, back to the review.
Despite the oh-so-intimidating vibrations at the beginning, the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator sadly subsides away into a big fat disappointment. I’m not sure where those vibrations went, but they seemed to dissipate into the air instead of going where they were supposed to go. I tried to focus with all of my might to get this wand to give me the pleasure I wanted, but it was hopeless. Frustrated and disappointed after three attempts, I tossed this one to the end of the bed and swapped it out for my whisper quiet (and very heavenly) Lovehoney Ignite 20 Function finger vibrator instead. Turns out, it really is the quiet ones that you need to watch out for!
With all that being said, the reviews on this wand are generally good and Master himself quite enjoys the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator to add some sensation to a blowjob. While I might have outlasted the mini version, the Lovehoney Extra Powerful Multispeed Mains Powered Magic Wand vibrator does do what I want it to, so maybe the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator just isn’t powerful enough for me 😉
Lovehoney Power Play Rechargeable Wand Vibrator: The Verdict
If the Lovehoney Power Play rechargeable mini wand vibrator was a man, it would be that hot guy at the bar who claims to be an unrivalled sex god yet doesn’t know where the clit is. The title (and vibrations) are misleading, because despite promising me great things, it just left me disappointed instead. If you like moderate stimulation, fine, but if you really like your vibrations like I do, don’t be fooled by the title. The Lovehoney Power Play Rechargeable Wand Vibrator gets a 4 out of 5 from us.
