How It Looks
The ROMP Lemon Crush clitoral stimulator arrives in a pink-purple faded box with bold splashes and lemon wedges and peel behind a photo of the product. The box says that it’s “meant to be”, but is it? We’ll find out.
The box opens with a tear strip, which I found rather fun and novel and will certainly make for some great content in the related video! Alongside is an illustrated list of the product’s features: Pleasure Air Technology, ten intensity levels, waterproof, magnetic charging, etc.
Inside, the box contains a safety guide, a product warranty, the lemon stimulator, a magnetic charging cable and more fun stickers. I have no idea why ROMP includes stickers with their sex toys, but it always makes me smile when they do!
The ROMP Lemon is a perfect hue of yellow and, to be honest, if it was left in a basket of lemons then you probably wouldn’t even notice at first glance! The shape is a nice touch too, although the stimulator is at one end of the lemon and the other does nothing. I feel like that’s a design disappointment.
Like a lot of ROMP’s other products, the power button glows with a soft white LED light when it is powered on. The light blinks between speed intensities, but there are no patterns for it to pulse with.
How It Handles
One of the first things I noticed and loved about the ROMP Lemon clitoral stimulator is how ergonomic it is — it fits perfectly in your palm and it is so easy to keep hold of! Unlike the ROMP X Amorana football-shaped clitoral stimulator, that turned into a slippery nightmare once a drop of lube was applied, the ROMP Lemon is easy to hold and to keep hold of. I cannot fault it for that!
I do feel like ROMP is missing a trick in that the other end of the lemon is not the power button. Call me picky, but I just think it would make this toy both cooler and more practical for users. The power button is on one side of this lemon-shaped stimulator, and the magnetic charging port on the other. A few times I accidentally pinched my labia whilst using this stimulator, and that did nothing to help me get off!
The ROMP Lemon stimulator does come with a travel lock, but that’s easy to unlock if you remember to press and hold the power button for two seconds on, and two seconds off. You’ll know when your Lemon is ready for action because it will light up and spring into life!
Clean-up is a splash too: the ROMP Lemon is completely waterproof, so you can toss it straight into a sink full of soapy water. Or why not invite it into the bath or shower with you? Then you can both get dirty and clean!
How It Feels
The ROMP Lemon Crush clitoral stimulator is covered in smooth skin safe yellow silicone, making it both comfortable to use and easy to clean. Like all good toys, a dab of water-based lubricant can really heighten the experience and help get your juices flowing!
Again, the ergonomics of this stimulator make it so easy to use for those of us with painful hands, and I love, love, love it for that. Some toys are quite tricky to operate, but I really can’t fault the Lemon. In fact, and where money is concerned, it may even rival my Womanizer Next as a more affordable, equally effective option, so long as you don’t mind losing the extra settings of the Womanizer Next in order to save some cash.
But let’s get down to the good stuff.
One of the things I really loved about the ROMP Lemon is that it doesn’t have any patterns, so there’s no risk of trying to increase the speed and then losing my orgasm to a frustrating pattern instead. The intensities are plenty powerful too, and by about the fourth intensity I knew that I was in trouble. The sixth definitely had my soul squeezed out of me.
How Noisy Is It?
The Lemon Crush stimulator is whisper quiet. Even on the higher settings, it’s hard to hear under the duvet, and can’t be heard through a closed door. In fact, most of the noise will probably be coming from you!

I absolutely love the ROMP Lemon Crush clitoral stimulator. From its bright colours, the ergonomics, the style, the powerful speeds and absence of patterns, the juice is completely worth the squeeze. That said — and because I know my readers value my honest opinion — I still maintain that the power button should be on the other end of the lemon. It would be more fun, easier to operate, and would have helped me to avoid some self-inflicted S&M! 4.5 stars.
