Today we’re going to be taking a look at the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator.
Many moons ago, Master Kevi and I had some fun with a remote control bullet vibrator, so we decided to expand our collection and spice up our date nights out! I saw the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator on sale (less than half price!) and I thought “you know, sometimes you gotta” – and so I did!
I think what really stood out to me about this remote vibrator is that it is designed for clitoral stimulation, rather than internal stimulation. I’m a woman who can have g-spot orgasms, but for guaranteed satisfaction, it’s all about that tiny little bud.

How It Looks
On first impressions, I have to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. The Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator arrives in a plain cardbord box with the logo printed on top and a Lovehoney label sealing it closed – hardly the epitome of indulgence. Considering Lovehoney themselves use pretty boxes, I thought this toy could have been boxed much better.
Inside was hardly much better – everything arrives in little white bags, apart from the safety guide and quick start guide. The box itself is lined with black foam, but the packaging generally makes it feel more like something for home than the bedroom. It wasn’t putting me in the mood for sex or naughty things, let’s put it that way!
Okay, let’s check out the vibrator itself:
The remote is compact though holdable, and the LEDs on the vibrator are quite pretty (they simply cycle through the colours when the power is on, until you select a pattern). The LED on the remote is a little too bright for comfort though – I managed to dazzle myself a few times with that!
How It Handles
Setting up the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator wasn’t easy; there’s a small plastic disc inside the remote that needs to be removed, so that the battery connects. Even a small tab or something that would have made it easier to grab, but there was nothing of the sort. It took me a bit of pot luck and trying to jab my fingernaail between aforementioned disc and the battery housing to get the damn thing out.
Once I’d set it up, operability is easy. The key thing to remember is that a long press on the power button (which feels really logical) turns the travel lock on and a simple, quick press powers on the vibrator and changes the pattern. Both the remote and vibrator and quite responsive, so there is no need for any hard button-pressing here.
The lights don’t correspond with a pattern: it’s just white, green, blue, purple or pink, or those colours flashing for the latter patterns (though not in sequence with the pattern). The colours cycle for power on, and it’s a solid red for power off. Also, you can’t see those colours if you’re wearing the vibrator (the LED on the remote is plain white), so how are you going to know what colour works if you’re out and about?
There’s no obvious information about how long the range is on this toy, although we found it still responded at opposite ends of our garden – about 20 metres. Keep in mind that obstacles such as brick walls will likely shorten the distance.
How It Feels
I really wanted to fall in love with the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator but I just… didn’t. The tip of the vibrator is supposed to “coccoon” her clitoris; i found it jabbed into (and forced upwards) mine painfully. Again, it was another example of a sex toy being ergonomically designed to accommodate one body shape, which not all bodies have. The raving reviews seem to totally tout it though, so perhaps my clit is just not the right shape for this toy – though that’s funny, it works just with plenty of others!
I didn’t find the vibrations particularly effective either. I mean, occasionally there was a little “oh”, but it was “oh”, not “oh my god! I’m cumming”. It was a throb, more than an orgasm. Enough to tantalise maybe, but not enough to get me off.
It’s also not possible to walk and keep this thing in place – I expected it to slip into a gusset or have a clip or something that keeps it in place, but no, it just slips into and sits in your panties. That feels incredibly dangerous to me – I’m all for spicing up date night, but revealing my antics in front of a dozen other restaurant-goers is not on my agenda!
With that said, and again, the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator seems to have a lot of happy customers, so maybe I just have a lazy love button!
Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator: The Verdict
Again, I really had high hopes for the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Control Knicker Vibrator but it just didn’t live up to expectations. I really wanted to find a toy that would allow me to discreetly satisfy my needs anytime and anywhere, but it seems that I’m still trying to find it. It’s a great idea that seems to have great reviews, but sadly or me it doesn’t deliver what it promises and delivered pain and fear instead. The packaging could seriously use some sexing up, too. 2/5.
