I’ve wanted to do a Lovehoney advent calendar for a while now but because of cost, it was something I often put off doing. Well, now I have the perfect excuse — my audience will enjoy a kinky countdown to Christmas, too!
From 12th-24th December, I’ll be bringing you a post and a short Youtube video every day as we open this calendar together, followed by a review of our experience (hopefully!) on the 27th!
We deliberated over all of the calendar options but ultimately settled on the 12-day “Discover Romance” one. It’s designed to help bring romance to a relationship, but will there be romance in store for us?

How It Looks
At first I was admittedly a bit confused by this balm; reasonably-sized box, dinky little tin plops out of it. Let’s not judge a balm by its box here though, m’kay? Let’s give the balm a chance.
The Lovehoney menthol pleasure balm arrives in a cute cold-screw-cap tin with a black label on the top. It’s a 7g tin, so you don’t get a lot. The balm itself is off-white and smells strongly of menthol. If my sinuses were congested before, they’re a lot clearer now!
How It Handles
You don’t want to scoop this balm; it melts easily and a little goes a long way! Rub lightly and apply like a balm for your bits, because that’s exactly what it is…
…. Until it’s not!
How It Feels
At first I thought I’d made a grave mistake: I’ve mentioned before about a Dom who used to make me put toothpaste on my clit, and I was kind of getting flashbacks of that. I actually got quite down and upset and wanted to wash it off (like I did back then) but I knew water would make it worse.
So instead, I waited it out.
Master wanted to try going down on me, “just to see” if he couldn’t convince me to change my mind on the whole experience. I was reluctant, but I agreed.
At first it was too much; the icy-hot sensation combined with his tongue was more than I could bear. I told him as much.
And then it happened…

The Verdict
If you’re sensitive to intense menthol sensations or have past negative experiences with cooling products, take this slow. A little goes a long way, and it’s a “YMMV” kinda thing — some people just might not like it, and that’s okay. The sensation doesn’t last forever, fortunately; an hour or two, and then it’s gone.
I wanted to give this a 4, as in “it’s okay, good, made me cum”, but I got “the look”. Fine, fine, have the extra bloomin’ star, okay? Yeesh. 5/5.
