Today we’re going to be taking a look at the Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint Kit. We bought this kit a while ago and it’s been a regular part of our bedroom repertoire, but alas, we haven’t reviewed it until now! Not to worry, today I am going to be turning all that around 😉
I have to admit, when it comes to bondage, I am quite a wriggly captive – I’m also quite a strong woman, physically and mentally. One of my greatest fears when it comes to bondage is that, once tied down, I will be able to bust out of it. For me, the hot partest of bondage is not about not wanting to escape – it’s about not being able to escape!
I’ll also admit, I’ve busted through more than my fair share of pairs of furry handcuffs in my time, so I didn’t have much hope for velcro cuffs. We’ve used leather cuffs and fixtures installed onto our bed for a number of years, but they aren’t always reliable, practical or stylish, and so this kit presented is with an attractive alternative. Will they be something else that I can bust out of, or will they actually serve as a quicker, cheaper and faster alternative to our leather cuffs? Let’s find out!

How It Looks
The Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint kit arrives in a simple plastic bag with a Boundage Boutique label, which isn’t that exciting. With that said, what’s inside is exciting, so I suppose we can allow it.
Available in black, white, red or purple, the Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint Kit is a system of webbing straps, clips, rings and cuffs. It’s a bit confusing at first to look at, but if you follow the instructions (and face it, who does? 😉 ) it’s fairly easy to set up.
I’m impressed by the build quality of this kit: the stitchwork is solid and well finished, so it’s unlikely to come undo easily. The steel rings and clips are nice and polished, which adds a deliciously sinister glisten in the red light of our bedroom-red room. The cuffs feel soft and strong too, promising both comfort and resilience.
How It Handles
Fitting the Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint Kit beneath a double mattress is neither fast nor simple, but with two people, it it is certainly possible. It helps to have one person on either side of the bed to catch a top and bottom strap as they are passed through, helping to pull the whole system into place. From hare, it’s simply a matter of re-making the bed, attaching the cuffs, adjusting the straps and having fun!
Attaching the cuffs is also simple: The carabiner clips on each cuff simply attach to the rings at the end of the straps. You can leave the cuffs attached if you like, though my sadist of a husband prefers to put the cuffs on me then attach me to the straps, almost as though he is fixing me into place for his amusement – nice!
Have a favourite set of cuffs already? Swap them out! Grab yourself a couple of double-ended carabiner clips to attach them with and the world is your oyster!
How It Feels
I have to admit, the Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint Kit is surprisingly strong, and even when the sadist does very mean things to me that make me want to bite him, it still keeps me firmly in my place. I love being able to let go and have fun; I love being able to fight and squirm and play the strong-willed captive that I can be, all while knowing that I won’t be going anywhere fast!
The cuffs are lovely and soft too, and though they keep me in place, they leave absolutely no marks (which is important for me as someone with chronic pain, and who likes to maintain a “good girl” public appearance 😉 ).

I love, love, love the Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint Kit. It’s strong, attractive, simple and fun to use. It’s a little costly and a little tricky to set up, but you really do get what you pay for and hopefully for a long time to come.
Another thing we really love about this set is how easy it is to hide between playtimes, if you want to leave it set up for some more spontaneous play another time. Our bedroom joins directly onto our lounge and the bedroom door often gets left open, yet still nobody has ever suspected what we might be into! That’s because it’s superbly easy to tuck the straps and cuffs down the side of the mattress and into the frame of the bed, making ours look like it’s simply unmade. Still nervous about somebody spotting something they shouldn’t? Simply throw your covers over the top and walk away!
Simple, stylish and practical, the Bondage Boutique “Bound To Please” Under The Mattress Restraint Kit gets a full five stars from us.
