Not so long ago, Master and I purchased a book of sex positions from Lovehoney. Ihe idea was two-fold: to give us some new hot sex positions to try, but also to give me something to write about and share on my blog. As a disabled person, some sex positions can be tricker than others. So we wanted to share with you which sex positions rocked our world, and which ones were dropped from it! 

So without further ado, let’s check out the next position – Rock ‘N’ Lock!

Why This Position:

This position is all about deep stimulation. The receiving partner sets both the pace and depth in this position, allowing the penetrating partner to enjoy the sensations and the view!

Assume The Position:

Begin with the tip-to-toe position, then the penetrating partner sits up. The receiving partner holds onto the penetrating partner’s ankles for support while the penetrating partner can hold their waist (or their hair, whatever you’re into!). You should end up with something like backwards cowgirl, but with the penetrating partner sat upight!

His Perspective

Trying to sit up with Elena on me was.., Interesting, to say the very least — my most prized possession is inside her and I now have to sit up?! It adds depth, but it doesn’t take it from okay to mind-blowing, and actually, I even worried for a time that my old fella was going to come back out — definitely not how we wanted for this to go!

I wanted to sit back against the headboard, which would have made this position much more easier for me, but that didn’t give Elena room for her feet so I had to engage my core instead. Engaging my core, feeling Elena around me and not cumming too soon?! My poor body ! My poor brain! 

 One major passion killer: having my wife grip my ankles in a vice-like grip is really not doing it for me, and by how much Elena struggled with her balance with this position, it wasn’t doing much for her either. Knowing that Elena wasn’t enjoying herself did nothing to help me, and in the end, I lost my erection anyway. Fail. 

Her Perspective

I’m all for being on top, so when I saw that this was another woman-on-top position? Hell yeah I was game for giving it a go! Getting into the position was kind of tricky but we got there in the end!

Master Levi feels exquisite inside me, as he always does when I’m on top, and when he sat up, it feels… different again. I understand now what they mean about this position being for deep penetration. Oh my, I can definitely feel that! 

Wrapping my legs around Master, though, was hard — this position requires me to put my weight on my knees and wrap my calves around his back, and that was just no bueno It puts my back out, it puts weight on my achy knee, and then I have to hold onto his ankles too?!

This whole position for me, sadly, became a mix of pain, balance failures and consequently humiliation and a loss of confidence — the absolute last thing good sex should be! Good to try, but this one won’t be a part of our regular sexual repertoire.

Overall Verdict

We think this position was designed with some sexual athleticism in mind, but sadly, not everyone is an athlete! We’re sure it might look and feel good if you can manage it, but for those of us who can’t manage it, write it off and stick to backwards cowgirl — sure, you might not hit the same angles or levels of deepness, but at least you’ll feel more balanced so you’ll have more fun! We give this one 1/5 stars — looks and sounds much better than how it really feels! 

Special Considerations

Please, please do not try this position if you — the receiving partner — have back issues, have had recent spinal surgery or you’ve had spinal fusion: this position puts a lot of pressure on the lower spine that won’t be good for you. Also, please don’t try this position if, like me, you feel at all unsteady holding onto your partner like you’re trying out some kind of perverted acrobatics (well we kind of were): the loss of confidence is so not worth it. Do what works for you and feels good to you and your partner. Those are the positions worth doing again and again 🙂
