Not so long ago, Master Levi and I purchased a book of sex positions from Lovehoney. Ihe idea was two-fold: to give us some new hot sex positions to try, but also to give me something to write about and share on my blog. As a disabled person, some sex positions can be tricker than others. So we wanted to share with you which sex positions rocked our world, and which ones were dropped from it! 

So without further ado, let’s check out the next position – Giddy Up! 

Why This Position: 

Giddy Up is a woman-on-top position for the men who like to be ridden, and the ladies who like to ride! For the lucky lady, the Giddy Up position allows you to grind against him while you ride, enhancing clitoral simulation and thus your potential  to reach orgasm!

Assume The Position:

The giving partner sits on the bed and leans back on their hands with their knees bent. The receiving partner then straddles the giving partner and allows them to enter them, then tucks their feet up onto their partner’s thighs and uses them for leverage. Lastly, the receiving partner can rest their arms on the giving partner’s shoulders for support. 

His Perspective

Ever had boobs right in front of your face and not be able to play with them? Welcome to my hell. I couldn’t move my hands because they were supporting us, but… Like… Boobs! I want to go for cowgirl already but Elena insists we give each position a fair review. Give me boobs or give me death, woman!

Also, two major boner killers: having Elena’s toenails digging into my inner thighs whenever she thrust forward was doing little for my personal pleasure, and worrying about keeping my balance, whilst worrying about Elena keeping her balance, was not making things too fun either. One wrong move and she wakes up in A&E, or worse, snaps my dick clean off and takes it to A&E with her. Either of those aren’t welcome thoughts, and didn’t do much for my erection.

One last thing: hearing your wife say “it’s hardly in me” does not do wonders for a man’s esteem!

Her Perspective

Unless you’re fairly flexible (and definitely balanced!), maybe avoid this position. I’m absolutely fine with the gold-standard cowgirl position, but pulling my feet up onto Master’s thighs feels quite destabilising – I have almost no contact with the ground on either side, and the bit that does have contact feels quite sore after a while. It also involves a bit of effort to get into this position, which kind of takes off the sex appeal, and I didn’t find grinding against Master was doing a whole much for me, orgasm-wise.

We did have routine struggles with penetration in this position; it’s more of a grinding than a riding position, which just isn’t as fun. It was hard to keep my feet where they needed to be, keep penetrated, grind… oh… and try and somehow maybe get off! In the end, it just wasn’t doing anything for either of us.

Also, and as Masrer said, there isn’t much potential for touching. Although there was plenty of making out, which can be just as nice.

Overall Verdict

Meh, no bueno. Revert to classic cowgirl and ride on! 

Special Considerations

For those who don’t have washboard abs, maybe avoid this position. It requires a certain level of strength and dexterity in both partners, which we know and appreciate not everyone has. For those with crunchy knees and dodgy hips, this position is probably more trouble than it’s worth, and it’s really not worth much if you ask us. Lastly, if the receiving partner isn’t that confident about their weight, this position won’t do you many favours as almost all of your weight is on your partner. Try it if you’re confident enough, if you’re flexible enough, but we’ be keeping to cowgirl!
