Ten Shades & Me

Rating: 5 out of 5.

We are really excited to have been approached by Michael to review not one, not two but three Pjur products which we will be bringing to you throughout Masturbation May to help you make the most of your pleasure! We have put these products in an order we felt worked – we wanted to bring you all three in one go, but we felt we would be doing these amazing items a disservice!)

Today, we are going to be taking a look at the brand new Infinity water-based lubricant from Pjur. There’s much to love about this water-based lube, so we had to give it a go!

Who are Pjur?

Founded in Germany by Alexander Giebel in 1995, Pjur has grown in popularity across the world. Headquartered in Luxembourg with production in other countries, Pjur proves to be an excellent alternative to rival brands.

What’s In Pjur Infinity?

It’s scary when you see a list of ingredients that don’t make sense, that’s why I’ve done my homework and found out what all these funky names mean:

Aqua (water) – Good ol’ H2O.

Propylene Glycol – Propylene Glycol is made from the fermentation of glycerol – a fat derivative – that helps a product to retain water, enabling it to be more moisturising on the skin. SInce glycerol may or may not be vegan, it is worth paying attention to labels and mentions of vegan ingredients.

Ethoxydiglycol – Used in cosmetics, skincare products and hair dyes, Ethoxydiglycol is a synthetic compound that helps to improve the function and texture of the finished product.

Hydroxypropyl Guar – Derived from guar gum, hydroxypropyl guar is a naturally- occurring, plant-based thickening agent.

Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride – another thickening agent, also made from quar gum.

Sodium Saccharin – Sodium Saccharin is a laboratory-made artificial sweetener. It helps to give the lubricant a sweet taste for oral sex, without causing the problems that glycerin-containing lubricants sometimes causes for women.

Citric acid – Commonly found in citrus fruits like oranges and lemons, citric acid helps to adjust the pH of the final product, helping it to align more closely with a woman’s vagina. It can also act as a preservative, prolonging the life of the product.

 How It Looks

Before we get into the best bit, let’s first take some time to appreciate the box. The white and cool blue box reminds me of a tropical sea breeze, with the yellow Pjur logo like a warm summer sun. There are embossed and debossed elements to the packaging too, with a photograph of the Pjur Infinity lubricant with a lightly embossed logo on the front, and the Pjur logo debossed on the top. The packaging is attractive and stylish, making good promises for what’s inside.

Onto the bottle itself, the first thing that stands out is the polished chrome cap and the crystal clear glass bottle – it’s the kind of thing you won’t mind having on your bedside. Okay so the label on the front tells you what it is, but to be honest in 2025, you should be proud of your pleasure!

One little criticism: the bottle isn’t refillable, so you will need to buy a whole new bottle when you run out. In an age where people care about reusing and recycling and where they maybe won’t want to put a lube bottle in with their recycling, I think it would have been cool if you could refill your bottle instead. I feel like Pjur have missed out on a trick there.

How It Handles

I have to thank the amazing people at Pjur, because as a person with a handicap that affects my grip and use in my right hand, the Pjur Infinity lubricant bottle is easy to use, whichever hand it’s in! It’s easy to control the pump too, so you get just the right amount of lube for you. No more messy globs, spurts or splatters, the pump dispenses the product right into the palm of your hand!

The bottle itself is perfectly palm-sized, making it easy to hold and use, No squeezy tubes or long and awkward bottles here, simply grab the bottle and lube up!

How It Feels

We decided to give the Pjur Infinity water-based lubricant a “best of three” test: once for his pleasure, once for my pleasure, and once for our mutual pleasure. Would it pass all three? We had hopes!

The first thing that Master Levi and I noticed was that this lubricant doesn’t feel like a lubricant – it feels more like my natural vaginal lubrication. Some lubes claim to feel natural, but this lube really does!

Coupled into our Frisky Friday night frollocking in front of the TV, Master noted that this lubricant doesn’t ever get sticky like some other brands do – it’s wet, and it stays wet. That apparently made it even better for a handjob, because otherwise-stickiness can pull down on foreskin and make things very uncomfortable. Good to know!

But what about for fingering fun?

Hallelujah! Finally, a lubricant that didn’t leave me with a nasty UTI! It also felt completely natural for me, doing away with the “gummy” feeling I get with some other lubricants – similar to the stickiness Master finds, I suppose!

As for sex? In-cred-ible! Master took me slow so we could both enjoy it, which was both heavenly and hell. There’s absolutely no stickiness, and as the Pjur Infinity lubricant warms up, it feels more and more natural. There’s absolutely no scent to notice either, which we’ve found with some other lubricants – this lubricant is even more unscented than my supposedly-unscented soap!

Bonus! I doubled up on exploring this super slick lube with some rather vigorous solo fun. Armed with my trusted and loved rechargeable mini wand and a suction cup dildo, I used a generous dollop of Pjur Infinity to enhance vibrations and keep things moving, and I was more than thrilled with the result! Whether you use Infinity with a partner or alone, a little Infinity brings eternal pleasure!

Pjur Infinity Water-Based Lube: The Verdict

I was worried that this lubricant was going to leave me gripping my tummy for another miserable evening, but in Pjur Infinity, maybe you do get what you pay for! Sure, it’s not the cheapest lubricant on the market ($32.50 and $38.50, respectively) but maybe what you’d normally save on a cheaper product, you wind up spending on cystitis relief anyway. Pjur Infinity water-based lubricant gets a full five stars from us, now go ahead and treat yourself – your Pjur pleasure awaits!
