Hello Lovelies and welcome back to another sex toy review!
We are really excited to have been approached by Michael to review not one, not two but three Pjur products which we will be bringing to you throughout Masturbation May to help you make the most of your pleasure! We have put these products in an order we felt worked – we wanted to bring you all three in one go, but we felt we would be doing these amazing items a disservice!)
Today, we are going to be taking a look at the Woman Nude water-based lubricant from Pjur. I’ve been longing for a lube that was tailored to women and isn’t likely to keep causing me horrendous UTI’s, and Pjur Woman Nude is made for women particularly. So we had to give it a go!
Who Are Pjur?
Founded in Germany by Alexander Giebel in 1995, Pjur has grown in popularity across the world. Headquartered in Luxembourg with production in other countries, Pjur proves to be an excellent alternative to rival brands.
Pjur Woman Nude
Water-Based Lubricant: Product Description
Pjur Woman Nude is a lubricant made with women in mind. Made from all-natural (au naturale, aka nude, geddit?) ingredients and free from additives, parabens, glycerin, perfum, fats and colourants and biocompatible with a woman’s natural pH, Pjur Woman Nude feels a like a long-awaited gift from the (sex) gods.
What’s more, Pjur Woman also comes in a silicone-based formula.

What’s In Pjur Woman Nude?
It’s scary when you see a list of ingredients that don’t make sense, that’s why I’ve done my homework and found out what all these funky names mean:
Aqua (water) – Good ol’ H2O.
Propylene Glycol – Propylene Glycol is made from the fermentation of glycerol – a fat derivative – that helps a product to retain water, enabling it to be more moisturising on the skin. SInce glycerol may or may not be vegan, it is worth paying attention to labels and mentions of vegan ingredients.
Ethoxydiglycol – Used in cosmetics, skincare products and hair dyes, Ethoxydiglycol is a synthetic compound that helps to improve the function and texture of the finished product.
Hydroxypropyl Guar – Derived from guar gum, hydroxypropyl guar is a naturally- occurring, plant-based thickening agent.
Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride – another thickening agent, also made from quar gum.
Sodium Saccharin – Sodium Saccharin is a laboratory-made artificial sweetener. It helps to give the lubricant a sweet taste for oral sex, without causing the problems that glycerin-containing lubricants sometimes causes for women.
Citric acid – Commonly found in citrus fruits like oranges and lemons, citric acid helps to adjust the pH of the final product, helping it to align more closely with a woman’s vagina. It can also act as a preservative, prolonging the life of the product.
How It Looks
At a first glance I couldn’t help but think this bottle looks a lot like a deodorant can, so I thank the screw cap that I haven’t yet woken up and accidentally lubed myself up in my decaffeinated haste. Asides that, I’m really loving the simple white bottle, the bold black text and the soft blue curve. I’m not sure that powder blue best represents women, but there again, that’s coming from the woman who grumbles when women are stereotypically represented by pink. Maybe I’m just severely biased towards purple?
Away from the look of the bottle, I couldn’t help but note that this bottle is twice the size of the all-new Pjur Infinity, but it is $9.50 cheaper. That’s worth considering when you go shopping for Pjur lubricants: what matters most to you, the value for money, or the packaging?
The lubricant itself is a lovely clear formula, just like it’s younger cousin, Infinity. The water content of these lubricants means they really do look wet on the skin, enhancing both the visual as well as the tactile.

How It Handles
Having checked out Pjur infinity last week and being impressed by the pump, I was a little bit disappointed by the dispensing of Pjur Woman Nude – it’s a simple, semi-squeezable bottle with a drip cap, which means it’s much harder to control just how much lube you get. Shake or squeeze too hard and you’re going to wind up with way more lube than you wanted. It’s also quite a drippy formula, which you can observe in the video below!
The drip cap is removable, however, and so refilling is an option. With that being said, I’m not sure that a white plastic bottle has quite the same visual appeal as a sleek, sexy glass one!
How It Feels
Again, I think I’m falling in love with Pjur lubricants. They feel so natural and lifelike, and like my own natural lubrication. There’s none of that gummy feeling that I get with some other well-known brands (cough Durex Play Feel cough) and that really does wonders to enhance our intimacy.
Allow me to briefly delve into what made me want to try this lubricant: as mentioned above, I’ve found some other brand lubricants are horrendous for causing me UTIs. As you do when you get a UTI after sex, I sort of put it down to a number of other things: maybe we were a bit too vigorous, maybe my pill had altered my pH or maybe some bacteria had traveled? Well you can never be perfectly clean! I’d sort of ruled it off as just being one of those things that I’d have to live and deal with, it never occurred to me that glycerin may be the culprit until I began researching the non-ingredients for this lubricant and read how glycerin can cause UTI’s in some women. Suddenly, the problem made sense. Sure enough, both of the lubes we’d previously used contain glycerin!
Given this lube is made for women and we are in Masturbation May, I have been enjoying this lubricant a lot more on my own as well as with Master. I invited Pjur Nude Woman to join me in bed for a solo session with my Lovehoney Pocket Pal, and it was a welcome addition to some Saturday morning shenanigans. On both occasions it helped to enhance all of the sensations, with none of the ill effects afterwards. Hoorah!
Pjur Woman Nude Water-Based Lube:
The Verdict
Just like Pjur infinity, this lubricant really did me the justice of all of the fun with no nasty side effects after my shenanigans. I’m not mad about the packaging though, and the product can be a little bit messy. It’s good, but we’d much prefer it with a pump cap. That being said, at $23.00 for a very generous 100ml bottle, we think this lube is a steal! 4.5 stars.
