I’m really ecstatic to have been chosen to review this set, and both of my Sirs know this. Both of them have wanted it and I have had so much fun over these past few weeks teasing them about being the only one who has access to it 😉 I was going to change my vote since this set was so popular, but Master Levi told me not to. Now, we’re finally going to be taking a peek inside!
Bedroom Fantasies Luxury Bondage Suitcase: Product Description
The Bedroom Fantasies Faux Leather Luxury Bondage Suitcase comprises of thirteen pieces of sexy faux leather bondage accessories. Included are four cuffs (two wrist and two ankle), a collar and leash (you can use the handle as a paddle for spanking fun!), blindfold, ballgag, hogtie, carabiners and connecting chains. All wrapped up in a gorgeous red velvet bag and sealed inside a lockable briefcase, this set comprises of almost everything you need for a night of kinky fun!
Who Are Bedroom Fantasies?
Sadly, there appears to be no information available as to where this product comes from and the website on the product – www.bedroomfantasies.eu – now redirects to a company called EasyToys. It’s not a Lovehoney-only product, there are other stockists too, but Bedroom Fantasies themselves appear to have rebranded or gone.
How It Looks
The Bedroom Fantasies Luxury Bondage Suitcase arrives in a stylish black box with padding. The combination code locks are highly polished and are easy to set to any code you like (they arrive preset on 0000). I was so excited to crack it open and take a peek inside!
Upon opening, all of your new bondage goodies arrive in a red velvet bag with the visible golden coloured loops to hang everything up. I thought it sounded like all of the goodies were wrapped in plastic, but Master Levi said it was more luxurious than that and he thought they might be wrapped in tissue paper. Unfortunately, I was right —not even nice plastic bags, just bog-standard, plastic sealed bags.
Wherever there’s pleather, it’s stamped with the “Bedroom Fantasies” logo. Look, I get it, self-promotion is important, but must it be stamped onto everything? It feels less like a sexy bondage set, and more like a kinky billboard for the brand.
How It Handles
The locks operate quite cleanly, which is nice. You can set them with the same code too, or choose two different codes for maximum security (or an eight-digit one if you’ll remember it!).
All of these bondage accessories in the Bedroom Fantasies Luxury Bondage Suitcase are secured with buckles, which can be fiddly for people with dexterity issues (or just those who are in a rush to get started!), They do do up fairly easily, but weren’t without some hand cramps for me. Not fun.
One thing: the clips for hanging things up is a nightmare! They are so stiff and nothing seems to want to fit in them. As per my video, I should not need both hands to clip a blindfold in place!
How It Feels
I really wanted to be impressed by this set, but I just wasn’t. Where do we even begin?
For a start, the faux leather feels thin and cheap, and I do worry that some of the straps might snap if you pulled on them hard enough. Nothing about the set screams “luxury”, rather, it feels like something you find in the adult section of a discount store. As previously mentioned, the hardware is nice, and the chains and connections feel sturdy and strong. If we were grading them alone, it’d get full marks for that.
The cuffs and collar aren’t lined, so they get hot and sticky after a while — and not in a good way!.
For a so-called “luxury” set I was hoping for a bit of velvet, a bit of velour, even a bit of foam padding — anything that would have made this set more “luxury” to wear! Sadly, it just wasn’t there.
The ball gag is on the smaller side, ideal for newbies as those who like comfort but perhaps a bit underwhelming for the hardcore bondage enthusiasts. Coated in silicone, it’s easy to keep clean.
Onto the blindfold — the blindfold is thin and unpadded again, and the only way to really block any light out is by closing your eyes. It does secure with a buckle, but I don’t think that really redeems it. If you want a simple, comfortable and effective blindfold, you really can’t go wrong with this one.
The hogtie is fun, and if you want to, say, take one of the carabiners off and use it as a joiner instead, you can do so with ease. Just because it’s a hogtie, doesn’t mean that’s all you can use it for. That versatility comes in quite useful.
As for the handle of the leash that can be used as a paddle, it just feels awkward and cheap — the handle feels excessive floppy, the edges feel rough and the chain jangles around when you try to slap your partner with it. Stop cutting corners and buy a paddle already!
Bedroom Fantasies Luxury Bondage Suitcase: The Verdict
I had so many high hopes and expectations for this suitcase but it’s one of those occasions where the packaging really is much better than what’s inside. If I was buying this just for the suitcase then I’d mark it quite highly but it’s also about the bondage accessories inside, which are, in my personal opinion, some of the poorest pieces I’ve seen. The metal work is good, but that’s about all I can rank it for. It’s a miserable ⅖ from us.
