Today, we are going to be taking a look at the Womanizer Next, from Womanizer!
This review is a little different in that this item was sent to me by none other than my work husband and “simpatico” partner in crime, Mister Valkyries. Sir, thank you ever so much for this lovely new toy, and I hope that my review is just as satisfying for you as what my new friend has been for me 😉
Who are Womanizer?
Founded in Bavaria, Germany in 2014 by Michael and Brigitte Lenke, Womanizer made it their mission to close the orgasm gap. Michael noticed the number of women who struggled with orgasm, and so, supported by his wife Brigitte, they worked on developing prototype patented “pleasure air technology” devices. Using modified aquarium pumps, they worked to create revolutionary new sex toys that could finally help bring more pleasure to women.
In 2018 Womanizer became a part of We-Vibe, and in 2021 they became a part of Lovehoney.
Womanizer Next Clitoral Stimulator: Product Description
The Womanizer Next is a clitoral stimulator from the developers of pleasure air technology. Released in late 2023, this stimulator boasts fourteen speeds, three intensity levels, is waterproof and whisper quiet. It also has some cool features, including “3D pleasure air technology” for an even deeper orgasm. We shall see.
Available in green, black or purple and priced £189 ($248), the Womanizer Next is definitely a more luxurious sex toy. Nice if you can afford it, but likely not within budget for many people.
How It Looks
The Womanizer Next arrives in a stylish purple box with a ripple pattern under a photo of the product. Gold foil accents give the box a luxury feel while white text lists its features, such as 3D pleasure air and climax control.
The box opens with a slide-out drawer with a frosted plastic cover on the front. Open the drawer and you’ll find a box of accessories and the Womanizer Next, nestled in a plastic tray.
On the back of the drawer is a detailed guide that teaches you how to use the various functions to get the most out of your Womaniser Next.
The accessories box contains a quick start guide, product warranty, magnetic charger, alternative head, storage bag and a Womanizer #Imasturbate advertisement sticker. I’m not sure where I’d display such a thing — I can’t imagine that’s something my family really wants to know.
Onto the Womanizer Next itself, a small stylish metallic purple trim and two-tone purple silicone makes this clitoral stimulator feel rather luxurious. When powered on, purple LEDs glow to show the intensity and whether autopilot is on. Along the back of the Womanizer Next you will find four buttons – the on/off button, intensity setting (“climax control”) and increase/decrease speed. On the front of the stimulator, you can also find the autopilot button — this thing has more buttons than any other toy I own!
How It Handles
The first thing I noticed about the Womanizer Next is how ergonomic it is. Perfectly palm sized, and all of the buttons within easy reach making it great for those of us with dexterity issues — not like the ROMP X Amorana football!
The Womanizer Next does feel a bit intimidating, with all of its buttons and options. That said, if you familiarize yourself with the options in the Startup, you will be mastering your pleasure in no time.
There’s no travel lock on the Womanizer Next, but to be completely honest, it’s so quiet, I don’t think it really needs one! I often find the travel lock on some toys more of a hindrance than a help, especially when you’re trying to get off in a hurry!
Did I say this toy was quiet? It’s more than whisper silent, it’s almost completely silent! The “SmartSilent” function means even if powered on, it doesn’t get to work unless it’s in contact with your skin, so it stops just as soon as you do!
Oh, and it’s fully waterproof too, so whether you take it in the shower or need to give it a clean after your playtime, the Womanizer Next can get just as wet as you!
How It Feels
When you power on the Womanizer Next, the first speed and first intensity is barely noticeable. It’s great for warming up and for starting out. When you’re ready, you can increase the intensity with a simple press of the “climax control” button.
The three intensity levels are supposed to be for three different purposes: explore, build, climax. Of course there’s nothing to say that that will be the case for you with these settings, and sensitive clitoris owners may find the first or second setting enough. For me, who needs some stronger stimulation to get me off, it’s kind of on the dull side.
I’m not sure about the “SmartSilence” technology- in part it’s useful, yet for the other part, the toy is so quiet, it almost feels redundant. It’s a cool feature maybe, but I wouldn’t call it a selling point.
The “3D pleasure air” I would say is a bit of a con too. I mean, anything that encompasses the clitoris is “3D”, right? Just for a comparison I compared it to the Lovehoney Pocket Pal, and I felt that, on startup, the suction of the Pocket Pal was stronger, and the Womanizer Next didn’t compare in intensity until level three — the strongest intensity. The Pocket Pal doesn’t brag about being “3D”, it just does clitoral suction, and well.
Time to get properly acquainted.
Unlike with some of its predecessors there’s just no fumbling to get the Womanizer Next into place — the box details perfectly how to apply the Womanizer Next to your clitoris, and if you’re following the instructions (do I ever?), you can get it nestled into place in no time. From there, it’s easy to power on the device (power button now at the top) and slide your way down to explore the Womanizer Next’s many options.
The Womanizer Next is supposed to feel like oral sex for women, so I was disappointed to discover that that “oral sex feeling” was like a lover lapping at your clitoris, a terrible sex experience that I’d much rather forget. The faster speeds did make my knees weak though, so maybe I just like a lover with some confidence.
I did explore the “Autopilot” option too, though to be completely honest, I didn’t find it did anything for me. Again, it seemed to be another gimmick — just as annoying as these patterns so many sex toys seem to have.
What about the “Afterglow” option? Now that one, I do like! The Afterglow option allows you to reduce the intensity of the Womanizer Next — but doesn’t turn it off completely — allowing you to “come down” from your orgasm. Bask in your pleasure for as long as you want to, the “Afterglow” option has you covered.
I do think that my orgasms were stronger with the Womanizer Next, so I think in a way, yes, the Womanizer Next does deliver a “deeper” — and seemingly louder! — orgasm. Normally I’m up and going within five or ten minutes, but with the Next, I was so glowing for an hour or two afterwards!
Womanizer Next Clitoral Stimulator: The Verdict
For what you pay for this toy, I’m slightly underwhelmed with some of the features. The packaging is nice, the ergonomics of the Womanizer Next are great, but I think some of the added features are somewhat unnecessary. I definitely can’t see myself using the “Autopilot” option, and I can’t see myself using the first and second intensity levels either Overall, I’d give the Womanizer Next 4.5 stars — it’s still very good (and I thank Mister Valkyries again for spoiling me!), but for value for money, my Lovehoney Pocket Pal shall remain unrivaled.
