Hello Lovelies and welcome back to another sex toy review!

Today, we are going to be taking a look at the best-selling Lovehoney Rose clitoral suction stimulator!

Who Is Lovehoney?

Lovehoney is one of the biggest names in UK sexual wellness, selling everything from sex toys and lingerie to lube, massage products and all manner of bedroom extras.

The company was founded in Bath in 2002 and grew from a small online shop into an international sexual wellness brand. As well as stocking familiar names, Lovehoney has its own ranges and has worked with brands and personalities including Womanizer, We-Vibe and Cosmopolitan.

One thing Lovehoney does particularly well is make pleasure feel accessible instead of daunting. Alongside the shop, its website has practical advice, buying guides and educational content to help people choose products that work for their bodies, relationships, experience and budget.

Whether this is your first tentative venture into sex toys or your bedside drawer is already threatening to collapse under the weight of them, there’s a frankly enormous amount to choose from!

Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator:  Product Description

Make way for the infamous Lovehoney Rose! This delightful clitoral stimulator swept the globe as a first of its kind from Lovehoney in time for Valentine’s Day 2022. Featuring six speeds and four patterns and covered in silky smooth skin-safe silicone, the Rose provides oral-sex like clitoral stimulation for clitoris owners everywhere. With an IP67 rating, you can also take it into the bath or shower with you for a thorough pampering session!

How It Looks

The Lovehoney Rose arrives in a blush pink box with a lilac zig-zag pattern on the bottom. The image is a little misleading in that it’s a black silhouette of the product, with a tab, in my case, detailing that the product is pink. I think it would be better if the silhouette is pink. We don’t need a photograph of the product; the shape and colour alone would be perfectly fine.

Inside the box is a magnetic charging cable, user manual and safety instructions. The front of both leaflets also tells us that the Rose has 10 functions, is pleasure air technology, and is waterproof.

The rose itself is more of a blush/bubblegum pink like the box, rather than a hot pink like the tab on the box. I’m undecided if I don’t like that or not. Maybe I wanted a pinkier pink? I’m awful in that I don’t always like Lovehoney’s products for women being pink, because that is gender stereotyping. Then when it’s not pink enough, I want it to be pinker — I’m so hard to please!

There’s no gold or metallic base on this rose either, which I find kind of disappointing as the metallic bases really make such products feel more premium. The magnetic charging contacts are shiny, which feels like a small win, but that’s not what it’s really about here.

I do like that the top, internal section of the rose comes off so that you can clean underneath, however. That makes post-climax clean-up a doddle.

The LEDs glow continuously with the speeds, and flash in time with the patterns. That’s something that I love about a number of Lovehoney’s products.

How It Handles

The Lovehoney Rose is another product from Lovehoney that feels surprisingly ergonomic. The base of the Rose fits perfectly into the palm of your hand, making it not too bulky or fiddly to use. The button is easy to position too, and it’s easy to position it under the second joint of your thumb for easy operability. It feels like a well made, well designed sex toy.

Again, I love that the top comes off for easy cleaning — it was so easy to disassemble the Rose and drop it into soapy water, and it’s IP67 rating means I don’t have to worry about it getting wet. I know that some people get a bit squeamish about cleaning up post-use sex toys, but the ease with disassembling and washing this one makes that frustration practically non-existent.

(By the way, if you want easy post-sex clean up, I highly recommend Lovehoney’s So Fresh! Foaming Body & Toy cleaner. It’s super quick and convenient to use and if you keep it in the bedroom with a couple of microfiber face cloths, it means no more awkward sex toy cleaning trips to the bathroom!)

How It Feels

Something doesn’t feel quite right in the suction with the Rose: perhaps air escapes around the removable top section, but the suction doesn’t feel as powerful as it does, say, with the Pocket Pal or the Womanizer Next. The suction is there most definitely, it’s just that it wasn’t really there for me.

What was fun, however, was removing the top section and using it more like a clit tapper, a bit like the Damiana from The Natural Love Company. Now that really rocked my world!

How Noisy Is It?

Sadly I couldn’t call the Rose as quiet as some of its rivals. Perhaps because of the shape or mechanism of the suction tip, I found that it creates an audible tapping noise which was quite distracting from my orgasm, and I expect it would have no shame in announcing your shenanigans to the world if you did decide to invite it into the bath with you. It’s probably not quite electric toothbrush loud, but it’s definitely not whisper quiet.

Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator: The Verdict

I’m genuinely curious about why the Lovehoney Rose is a best-seller, because in my very personal opinion, there are better clitoral stimulators out there. Again, it’s not that it didn’t make me orgasm or that it’s hard to use, it’s just louder than I’d like and frankly not as effective as some others. 4 stars.

I had to giggle at my neighbour leaning against my shed yesterday whilst he was talking to me. I swear he intentionally brushed his arm with mine at one point. I didn't move away. No, I didn't move, because I knew that once I gave him my Lovehoney promo code, he could be quite literally invested in me 😈

One response to “Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator: Is It Worth The Rave?”

  1. […] Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Stimulator: behold! The so-say best seller, but did it meet the mark? Yes and no. It certainly delivers and was wholly responsible for a very intense orgasm, but it is noisier than some of my other toys and I did find that the constant tapping sound distracted me from my goal. It’s more ergonomic than the ROMP x Amorana football but not as ergonomic as the Womanizer next. Affordable, effective, but sadly a bit louder than I would have liked. ⅘.  […]
