Hello Lovelies and welcome back to another sex toy review!

Confession time: I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with suction cup dildos. On the one hand I’ve seen them used and I think they look totally sexy, and then, on the other hand. I find sometimes they can actually be a bit awkward to use! I’d love to recreate one of those really hot porn scenes for my husband where the girl is riding the suction cup dildo, but twice now it’s been set too high or come unstuck and it’s been awkward on both parts!

Not to fear, today I’m testing out this suction cup dildo on three different surfaces. The things I do for my readers!

Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup 6 Inch Dildo:  Product Description

Made from soft, pink silicone, the Lovehoney BASICS 6 inch suction cup dildo attaches to any smooth, flat surface and allows you to grind or thrust to your pleasure. Stick it to a smooth chair, against a door or enjoy it in the shower, your new lover can be with you wherever you want!

How It Looks

The Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup Dildo 6 Inch arrives in a simple pink and white box, so it wasn’t winning any points in that regard. It arrives in a simple clear plastic bag, I guess, so you know it hasn’t been used before. There are no instructions or leaflets in the box, but to be totally honest, it’s a dildo – do you really need them?

There are some basic usage instructions on the box, however, so I suppose that helps if you do.

The purple is nice, and is a welcome reprieve from the normal pink. I love the attention to detail too – the ridges and veins, the bulbous glans and even the beautifully sculpted urethral opening. If the appearance of the penis is part of the arousal process for you, then this dildo will surely whet your appetite.

How It Handles

Getting the Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup 6 Inch Dildo to stick can take a bit of trial and effort – it needs to be a totally smooth surface, and both need to be a bit wet really for a maximum airlock seal. A bumpy surface, and you won’t get the lock. Too dry, and the dildo will dismount almost as soon as you start getting too vigorous with it. In either scenario, you want to be sure that your new beau stays put, and your sordid sex session doesn’t wind up with you in a heap and in shame!

I tried my dildo on three surfaces using some simple water to get it to adhere: The bedroom door, my desk chair and the shower wall. General adherence was good, although not so much on my bedroom door, where I needed to whump my silicone lover against the door extra hard in order to get it to stick. That said, the bedroom door was my personal favourite, but the door kept rattling in its frame and sounding out my shenanigans to the neighbouring properties – definitely not what I wanted them to hear! My desk chair was also fun, and would definitely be a fun way to blog if it wasn’t so distracting. The shower was okay too, but I think I prefer my shower times just for showering.

You will need some added lube, because although I definitely didn’t think I was going to needed any, err.. assistance, I still found the silicone a bit dry when entering my body. Apply a generous blob of water-based lube and help your silicone lover get ready for you – it will be better for both of you!

Getting it off the wall (or door, or chair…) when you’re finished is also a bit of a challenge, because pulling with one or both hands won’t make this baby move. You need to lift from the base and and break the airlock once you’ve decided you’ve had your fun.

Clean up is very simple – a quick bath in some soapy weather and you can leave your new loer out and proud to air dry!

How It Feels

I fell in love with the Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup 6 Inch dildo from multiple angles, in a way – I love my dildos for felating, as well as for riding. The silicone is soft and smooth and the ridges and veins textured and exciting, leaving this dildo feeling much more lifelike than some of the solid plastic toys that I had in my more formative years. I was admittedly new to silicone dildos before this one, so I was quite excited to see just how real they can feel.

Whether you want it for for fucking or sucking, the Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup 6 Inch dildo is a dream. It’s not too big for sucking, making it perfect for practicing your skills in between. For fucking, the soft suppleness (yet also girthy heaviness) of this dildo and that glorious head make it quite delightful, and it made my knees go weak in no time at all. It felt wrong because it wasn’t my husband, and I knew it wasn’t my husband, and that “wrongness” made it all the more fun. Lucky for me, he seemed to quite enjoy the performance too, so that’s a whole new kink unlocked for us!

Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup 6 Inch Dildo: The Verdict

For a basic beginner’s dildo, the Lovehoney BASICS Suction Cup 6 Inch dildo is absolutely perfect. It’s affordable, functional and detailed, and an absolute treat whether single or just fancy something new. Go ahead and treat yourself, and enjoy your new lover wherever you decide to go!

Plus, it helped us unlock a new kink for Master and I, so it gets a full 5/5 from us!

  1. As always a fun and informative look at a serious bit of kit to expand any couples play time together and when it’s textured with veins and stimulating additions what’s to complain about. With that I’ll thank you as always for the hard work you put in to your writing and leave it here with this thought.

What’s better than one suction cup dildo for a spit roasting?

A suction cup double dildo for an airtight spit roasting

    1. I thank you, and only you could come up with such a sordid idea 😂

      1. Flattery will get you everywhere and it’s only the natural progression of the act. And there are so many other options. Plugs are the first that come to mind, I’m sure your kinky mind can fill in the blanks while a a couple of friends can help.

Always fun to correspond with you and it’s a sure fired way to show The World we Brits are sex mad kinky horny people too.

Just like our food after WWII we are no longer constrained with rationing it, so it’s no longer bland, the nations lovemaking is the same sex is vibrant, passionate and increasingly more than just two.

      2. Gaps, Sir? Surely “holes” is more appropriate, given the context? 😛

I completely agree, though I think the world is changing, generally, and many of us are no longer as prudent as we once were. It is indeed a fine time to be alive.

You are quite right too. It is fun to share, but sadly often far more complicated than what it seems.

      3. Well you do need holes to, sorry hole to put the plug in.

      4. Charming, Sir 😝

      5. I can’t resist a pun or bad dad joke, I’m guilty as charged

      6. Dad jokes are fine until you respond with a Mom joke. I like to think them the nuclear option, and that one I do have 😜

      7. Take cover she’s gonna blow 😜

I feel I might land myself in hot water for that one, but it’s worth it.

      8. Woke up with masochistic tendencies, I see 😜

      9. Me!!!!!!

      10. Defienitely you 😂
