Psst… Your inbox may have been lying to you.
Hey lovelies,
You might not know this, but for the past two months I’ve been writing a fortnightly newsletter that has included some tasty Lovehoney deals. And I promise I sent it to you, but you might not have received it. Why? Well, it turns out, our inboxes seem to think it’s spam.
So it goes, I sent three newsletters and, like a good blogger person, I kept an eye on the engagement rates — a crummy 4% to start with, so I changed my approach and it got even worse at just 3%. Welp, that’s not good!
So I, with my tail between my legs and feeling like I was massively overinvesting my time in something that nobody really cared to read, I stopped writing them. I got rid of the sign-up page and quietly moved on with my life. We can just… pretend that whole embarassing chapter never happened, right?
Well, by chance (actually not by chance, it’s just what good business owners do!) I was looking at my work emails and I noticed my newsletter in my spam folder. At first I paid it no mind, then it dawned on me: if it’s gone into my spam folder, who else has received my newsletter as “spam”?
So I’ve refreshed my set-up, but that unfortunately meant clearing my newsletter subscribers list and starting anew.
So if you would like to receive me in your inbox on a fortnightly basis, with all kinds of fun thoughts, rambles and the occasional exciting Lovehoney offer, please do sign up to my FREE newsletter, then check your spam folder and make sure you mark it as “not spam”. Otherwise you won’t hear from me, and I won’t hear from you, and then we’re both going to be upset!
Love ya!
