Hold tight — it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Not so long ago, Master Levi and I purchased a book of sex positions from Lovehoney. The idea was two-fold: to give us some new hot sex positions to try, but also to give me something else to write about and share on my blog. As a disabled person, some sex positions can be tricker than others for me. So we wanted to share with you which sex positions rocked our world, and which ones were dropped from it! 

Alright, without further ado, let’s check out the first position – Hold Tight!  

Why This Position?

The “Hold Tight” position is a position that allows both partners to feel close and connected. For the giving partner, it allows them to access the front of their partner’s body to increase their pleasure. For the receiving partner, it allows them to receive more pleasure from their partner’s touch. It’s also a great position for incorporating a little bit of sensory deprivation and sensation play! 

Assume The Position

Beginning from the classic doggy-style position, the giving partner enters the receiving partner and kneels up, then helps the receiving partner onto their knees. From here, the giving partner can thrust into and play with the receiving partner’s body, and the receiving partner can lean back and hold onto or caress the giving partner. Hot damn! 

His Perspective

Starting on floor, I found this position really uncomfortable on my knees. We moved onto the bed but it was harder to maintain my balance and took a bit of practice. Having Elena lean against me while I was entering her made me a bit unbalanced at first as well, but somehow made penetration deeper and more intimate later on. I really enjoyed that I could play with Elena’s body in this position and feel and hear her respond to my touches. One problem, I did feel like we almost broke my dick off when I helped Elena up. Move gently, guys!  

Her Perspective

Like Master Levi, I also found this position really uncomfortable on my knees (I have RSD in my right knee), and not exactly easy to balance on the bed (thanks, ataxia). That said, I did love the closeness between he and me, and the feeling of being groped and possessed by a strong Alpha male! Master put his hand around my throat and growled in my ear at one time, which did wicked, wicked things to me. He also wrapped his hand in my hair and pulled my head back so he could look in my eyes – there was something so intensely hot about that moment! 

Feeling Master’s hands on my body was hot too, and it was the first time anyone has ever made me orgasm on my knees! We did finish up in the doggy-style position, but all things considered, I’m not calling it a total failure 😉

Overall Verdict

Hot, hot, hot! But unfortunately wasn’t a position that we could finish in (well it’s hard to come and keep your balance!). We loved the intimacy component of this position, but you’d need strong legs, healthy knees and good balance to see it all the way through. A great way to warm up, but not a way through to the finish, “Hold Tight” gets 4 stars from us.

Special Considerations

Definitely some sort of padding for your knees, especially if you have dodgy joints. Also, if balance is an issue for you (or your partner), consider this as well. Perhaps make love close to the headboard, where you can hold on if you need to. Also, don’t feel the need for speed. Go as fast or as slow as you want to and find what works for you. Sex doesn’t need to be a marathon event!
