A little while ago now, Master Levi and I kept hitting a roadblock with our BDSM relationship: it wasn’t that we didn’t want to play together, it was that by the time Master got home from work, a BDSM session felt like effort. Before we could play, we had to decide what we were doing: what to wear, what toys to have out, what to do, and when did we begin? By the time we’d eaten dinner, exercised the dog and washed up, flopping on the sofa felt like the easier option. 

It wasn’t that we didn’t want to play together, it was that we didn’t want to have to do those pesky scene negotiations before having the actual scene. I mean, that’s precious time we could be playing in! 

So that was when I came up with a plan: what if we had a simple sheet that Master could fill out and leave out on our Kinky Fuckery Thursdays, then I could get everything ready for him instead? That way, by the time he gets home from work, he won’t need to worry about what he wants or how – everything will already be laid out, according to his instructions! 

I know that some people already do similar things by text or call, but if you’ve ever struggled with how to sound like a Dom outside of a scene, this might be a solution for you. Behold, the BDSM Session Planning Worksheet! 

The idea is quite simple: the Dominant simply fills out what they want to use in the session – along with their pre-session instructions – and the submissive follows them. You could use it as a PDF to complete at a convenient time in the day and send it to your submissive ahead of your session, or print it out, fill it in and leave it for them to find, if you prefer. Hopefully by now you’ve already completed a BDSM checklist together and so you’ll have some idea of what one another likes, but if not, please start there first.
