Hello lovelies and welcome to our Kinkmas countdown!
I’ve wanted to do a Lovehoney advent calendar for a while now but because of cost, it was something I often put off doing. Well, now I have the perfect excuse — my audience will enjoy a kinky countdown to Christmas, too!
From 12th-24th December, I’ll be bringing you a post and a short Youtube video every day as we open this calendar together, followed by a review of our experience (hopefully!) on the 27th!
We deliberated over all of the calendar options but ultimately settled on the 12-day “Romance” one. It’s designed to help bring romance to a relationship, but will there be romance in store for us?

In our Kinkmas countdown, and today we have…
Womanizer Water-based Lubricant (60ml) & Lovehoney Fresh Toy Wipes (10 wipes)
How It Looks
Woohoo! Two in one! Well that was quite a nice surprise! I’m really liking the stylish packaging of both of these products, the Womanizer lubricant with it’s mint green tube and white cap (you could leave it on your bedside, it looks more like a hand cream!) and the Lovehoney Fresh wioes with their red logo and swirl design. This is a cute little double deal on day two!
How It Handles
The Womanizer water-based lubricant comes in a handy squeeze bottle with a flip lid, making it easy to dispense during sex or foreplay. The lubricant is quite thin, so you don’t need to squeeze hard to get the contents out — thanks to it’s thin formula, even a gentle squeeze gets you the extra lubrication that you desire!
The Lovehoney Fresh toy wipes are a little tricky to open, though none more so than any packet of wipes. They come in a convenient bag-sized packet too — great for nights or weekends away!
How It Feels
I refuse to put any glycerin-containing lubricants near my bits anymore, so the lbricant was tested on the back of my hand only. That being said, it does feel quite thin and not sticky at all, so it’s perfect for people who are deterred by thicker lubricants. I’ll give it a win for that — so long as you too aren’t one of the people who gets regular UTI’s from glycerin-containing lubes!
It’s hard for me to talk about how the toy wipes feel — they’re not for body use — but I will say that I wasn’t particularly taken by the smell of them: they’re supposed to be “fresh”, but I wasn’t getting any “fresh” smell? The Lovehoney So Fresh foaming body & toy cleaner has a faint citrus-herbal smell, but these toy wipes smell of… absolutely nothing!
The Verdict
A two-in-one box is no reason to shout, so I can’t shout too loudly there. However, I do feel slightly underwhelmed that a lubricant from a brand that produces sex toys for women produces a lubricant with an ingredient that is known to cause UTI’s in women, and the wipes that claim to be “fresh”, aren’t. A bad haul? Not really, but it definitely could be better. 3/5.
