Talk about something within kink/BDSM that you’re curious about/don’t understand.

By now and in my almost two decades in the BDSM community, there isn’t much I don’t understand. Yet, if there is one thing that continues to incite my confusion, it’s pet play. I mean, why? 

To be clear here, I’m not really talking exclusively about pets, kittens (I am one) or foxes. I’m talking about some of the other pets that I’ve met: pups and ponies, but even pigs and snails. I’d love to understand the mindset; how that space looks and feels for them, and why it appeals to them.  

As a kitten myself, I can be quite playful and mischievous. I “make biscuits” on Daddy all the time, sometimes quite unintentionally, like if he invites me for a snuggle. I’m a kitten! I need to make sure my snuggle spot is cosy first, y’know? 

But we kittens are curious creatures, and we spend much time wondering, wondering particularly about the pups in the neighbourhood. What makes them tick? What makes them, them? And why haven’t they worked out that their human Owners will only throw the ball again if they keep taking it back to them?

 Fools. 

Ponies, too, I’m fascinated: what is the appeal to, say, hurdling fences, or pulling your Owner around in a cart? I understand the “fun” part; I understand the “I want to decompress and switch of from being a human for a bit” part, but, like… is that it? Or is there more? 

Seriously, I’d love to know.
